We take a cave-man approach to sales tools...we make our own! We have developed our own database
layout which enables us to manage account and agency information from the basic address, phone, fax and also their
web site, e-mail address, fiscal year and product(s). We allow for five account contact names and five agency contact
names.
From the Account Full Information we are able to navigate to an account letter, an agency letter,
an account fax, an agency fax, an insertion order, the call log to record all of the previous mentioned sales activities
plus those meaningful conversations that arise from phone calls, e-mails and personal meetings at an agency, client
or trade show.
We are also able to go beyond the "borders" of FileMaker 3.0v3 and export account names
into word processing for mass mailings and also into global fax software for mass faxing.
We research your magazine and understand where it's been, where you want it to go and what we
need to do to get it there. The following forms help isolate lineage on an issue by issue basis, year by year and
this way we can see the strong issues and the weak ones and make sales adjustments accordingly.
We also work each issue with a specific closing sheet which details what's in and what we are expecting
on a 90%, 50% and 10% basis. Plus our sales activity is documented to you via a Run Sheet which outlines the advertiser/agency,
ad size/shape, position, revenue, status of the i.o. and salesperson responsible for the account.
